There are two types of beliefs: empowering or limiting


Limiting Beliefs are beliefs that hold us back; they limit us from getting what we want.
Empowering Beliefs move us forward.


We all have limiting beliefs.  We may have more in one area of our life than other areas.

Our first limiting beliefs typically come from our parents and family. As we grow up we acquire them from people of authority, institutions (such as church, school, work etc), friends, acquaintances etc. 

Just because we are exposed to a belief does not mean we have to adopt it as our own. Just because we have adopted a belief, does NOT make it true!  At any time we can choose to get rid of our limiting beliefs. But first, we must identify them.
