Use the Power of Prayer

Do you ever wonder why your prayers aren’t answered? Maybe you used to pray, then turned away from religion only to abandon prayer thinking it doesn’t work.

According to Esther Hicks, who channels Abraham in the Law of Attraction, it does work. She says, “Your prayer causes you to focus, and the Law of Attraction causes everything in the Universe that’s in vibrational harmony with your focus to come to you.”

Your prayers are answered!

Prayers are Focused Attention

Prayers in this sense are a focused message. It’s the same principle in manifesting. If you put your focus on something, it’s attracted to you.  “Where attention goes energy flows.” Prayer is focused attention. It’s asking the Universe for something, it’s putting your attention on it.

The same is true for negative attention. I had a client who was concerned that someone was putting evil spells on her. As a reaction she prayed four hours a day to keep the evil away. If her prayers include mentioning the evil threat, then guess what the end result would be? Her prayers are actually attracting it to her!

The same is true for anything. If we plead, “Please don’t let this happen!” All the Universe hears is “this.” It doesn’t hear what you want to happen, only what you don’t want to happen.

Don’t Come from Lack

Prayer is how our consciousness communicates with the Universe or the quantum field. So, make every word count. Religion trained us to pray from lack. We never have enough or whatever we have isn’t good enough. So, we beg: “Please help, please fix, please save me” etc. And we’re always hoping and waiting.

Jesus showed a different way. He prayed from alignment. He didn’t ask, hoping it would happen, he spoke as if it already was. That’s manifesting.

In neuroscience belief + emotions rewires the brain. It takes us out of uncertainty and into a field of possibilities, of knowing it can happen. In religion faith moves mountains. It’s one and the same, just using different words.

Prayers are Manifesting

Don’t pray for something to happen, pray from the belief that it’s already happened. That’s manifesting. That’s knowing it will happen, not wishing, waiting and hoping. It’s knowing that you are taken care of and what you want will happen.

Here’s what that looks like.

To pray for yourself the traditional way might look like this: “God, please help me, I don’t know what to do, I’m struggling.”

Try this: “Thank you for guiding my next step. I choose to trust the clarity that’s coming to me now. I am open, receptive and supported.”

This works because gratitude and trust cancel out uncertainty. It’s focusing on guidance instead of lack. Coming from lack brings more lack. Come from strength and certainty instead.

If you want to pray for abundance or money follow the same formula. Remove the urgency and substitute trust. Don’t beg: “God please help me financially, I’m stressed out. I don’t know what to do.”

Instead: “Thank you for the abundance coming to me. I am open to unexpected and creative solutions. I trust your guidance.” This way you know it’s coming to you and you’re not desperate.

To pray for someone else, hold space. We tend to say: “Please God fix them, please heal them, please change them or do this for them.”

Hold them up: “I see the best happening for them. May they feel supported and guided in exactly the way that they’re ready to receive.”

This way doesn’t force or interfere with outcomes. It doesn’t impose our will onto them. Instead, it holds a field of possibility around them, allowing anything to happen. The Universe knows what’s best for them, we don’t.

Praying for a partner or love: Don’t be desperate: “God, please send me someone. I’m lonely, I need someone. I need love.”

Focus on your vibration and what you can become: “Thank you for the connection that matches my values and is good for me. I am becoming the version of myself that receives love with ease.”

If you’re unsure of your direction or purpose: You might be clueless, but don’t act that way: “God, tell me what to do, I’m confused.”

Instead have confidence the answer will appear: “Thank you for making the next step obvious. I don’t need the whole path. I trust the clarity that’s arriving.”

When Prayer Doesn’t Work

When we feel pressure to get an answer or have confusion then we can’t get clarity. So, assume that you will get it. Know that the Universe has your back no matter what.

Sometimes we don’t get what we want no matter how hard we try; despite how much we focus on manifesting. There could be any number of reasons, but one is timing. Sometimes the timing isn’t right. It will happen when it’s supposed to happen. That can be frustrating because we want it now. But again, the Universe knows what’s best for us and when. Try not to sweat the timing. Instead, know that it will happen in Divine Timing.

If we’re not in the right place emotionally and mentally the Universe may not bring the object of our desire. It knows the conditions aren’t right. Likewise, our prayer would reflect that. We would come across the way we’re used to – begging, desperate, needy. Unless you want more of that, drop that way of praying.

Like with anything in life be confident. Be calm. Be positive. Know that the Universe has your back and is here to assist you. Because it is.
