It’s Not About Fixing, it’s About Shifting
When we’re in a situation that’s uncomfortable it’s our tendency to want to figure it out. “If I could figure out why I’m so stressed out lately, I could stop it.” or “I want to know how to (fill in the blank) write this book, finish this project, so I can do it.” or “If I only knew why I keep meeting the wrong guy, I could fix it.”
As humans we’ve been wired and trained over the centuries to fix things, have a solution, make it better. Nothing is ever good enough so we have to change it. We never do it right, so we have to fix it. That feels intense and like hard work. If instead you view it as shifting, doesn’t that feel lighter?
It feels lighter because in the second scenario you’re plugging into your divine knowing to shift you out of the uncomfortable situation you’re in. Shift out of questioning, pushing, fixing and into knowing.
It doesn’t matter how you’ll write the book, just do it. Writing in particular is very much a channeled activity. Channeled doesn’t have to mean certain beings, it can mean tapping into divine knowing, the universe, your intuition, whatever you want to call it. Sit down and start writing and it will come to you. If you get too hung up on how to format it, how to structure it, what to write first you’ll probably never start. Just write. It doesn’t matter what you write, just write. Later you can go back and re-arrange it or make it more readable or appealing. Don’t try to figure it out, just do it.
If you’re in the middle of some sort of legal action or uncomfortable situation (custody battle, roommate dispute, divorce etc.) again, don’t get caught up in figuring out how it will play out. Just know that it will. Move from trying to fix it to seeing the outcome you desire. It doesn’t matter how you get there as long as you get there.
If you constantly attract the same kind of person into your life whether friend or lover and are beating yourself up over it or trying to figure out why, let that go. Move from seeing it as a problem to knowing you can meet the right person.
Let it Go, Let it Flow
Recently a friend told me she was talking to an associate about possibly working for him in a more administrative role as a solution for her financial needs. As they talked, the discussion morphed from working for him to working with him in a consultative role. Had she tried to figure out how to “fix” her financial situation by controlling the conversation, she probably would not have gotten the results she did. Instead, she opened herself up to a much greater possibility than she had imagined by letting go and not trying to control or fix the situation. She shifted from fixing and figuring mode to letting whatever will happen, happen. When she did, she was rewarded with a much better outcome than she had imagined.
If you’re having issues at home or work don’t try to fix them or figure out solutions, imagine the scenario you desire. Shift from seeing it as a problem to be solved and a discomfort to be experienced into imagining the outcome you want to knowing it can and will.
When we move from fix mode to flow mode, as in being in the flow, that’s when the miracles happen. Because then we’re not trying to control the outcome, we’re changing our vibration into one of ease and expectation. Expect it to work out.
Clear Your Mind
If you truly have a problem to solve, do your best to stop your mind from spinning and relax or meditate. Or go for a walk. Do something different. Wash the dishes. Then the solution can come to you. When we quiet the mind is when solutions appear. When inspiration happens. When synchronicities occur.
That’s shifting. Shifting from being in our head to find a solution to letting the solution come to us. It’s like cooking dinner or ordering take-out. Which is easier? If you don’t like to cook, don’t have time or don’t feel like it, don’t cook. Order take-out. Don’t make your life hard. Do the easy thing.
Order Take-out – It’s Easier!
Don’t spend your time chasing solutions, order take-out. Let the dinner come to you. I mean let the solutions come to you. Why make it hard? Thank goodness for Uber Eats and Door Dash, right? Do the same for your problems. Order the Door Dash of your mind – let someone else do the work, your subconscious or higher self.
Even as I write this, I am channeling what’s coming next. When I write I don’t make outlines or do all the other organizational stuff most experts advise. No, I sit down and just write. I’m not worried what to write. I’m not forcing what to write. I’m not looking for an answer. I’m just letting my fingers do the talking as they fly over the keyboard based on the information I’m channeling right now.
There are days I sit down to write and nothing happens. Yes, experts say just sit there for fifteen minutes and put something down and then inspiration will hit. That’s true, but I find for me, if I’m really not feeling it whether emotionally, mentally or physically, then I leave it alone. I move on. If it’s not happening right then, I don’t try to force or fix it. I just wait for the next inspirational wave to occur. And it always does. This is my third blog post I’ve written today. When you’re on a roll, you’re on a roll.
Give your problems to the Universe, your higher self, your subconscious, whatever, to solve them. Know that “they” will help you. You will get an answer. Shift from worry or fixate mode to knowing your problems will be solved and get in the flow. Let it go. All will be well. It always is.
